CLUB STATION LANCASHIRE
The alfa tango club stations started back in 1989 and i am sure the first one was 13AT000 Club Station Roth of Germany.
Many club stations are now in action around the world.

During the 80s Lancashire use to hold monthly
Alfa Tango meetings which were attended by
members from all over the country and world.
The monthly meetings would regularly see more
than 100 members present. The XMAS parties
were fantastic drunken events.

1AT001 Aldo issued the County of Lancashire the callsign
26AT000 CLUB STATION LANCASHIRE in 1989.
The station was managed by 26AT142 chris (014)

This station was activated most Sundays
regardless of dx conditions or weather by
26AT142/166 myself and 582.

The Guvnor 26AT142 Chris paid for a luxurious Triple Zero shack to be built with the help of 26AT582 in the garden of his home.
This shack was open to ALL visitors 24 hrs a day and regularly overseas visitors would sleep there and be fed good Lancashire grub and plenty of bacon butts and tea by Chris's wife Pat.

Even though the shack was comfy we would still venture out on to the hills in a variety of mobiles on Sundays for our regular dx.
We even employed the services of a 7.5 ton once for a dx weekend which was fun getting it up the farm paths, footpaths and over the grass.
